Trust & Safety

Buy, list, message, and promote with your eyes open

A practical safety center for buyers, breeders, stud owners, kennels, promoters, transporters, and community members using Pups & Studs.

Buyer safety Scam reporting Animal welfare Moderation

Pups & Studs is a connection platform, not an animal seller, broker, escrow company, registry, veterinary provider, or law firm. Trust starts with clear records, verified identities where available, and users who slow down before sending money or agreeing to transport.

Buyer safety checklist

Ask for current photos or video, the puppy or dog date of birth, ready date, vaccination and deworming records, microchip details when available, registration details when claimed, parent information, health testing notes, contract terms, pickup or transport details, and a clear way to speak with the listing owner.

Scam and stolen photo warnings

Be careful with pressure to send money immediately, inconsistent stories, reused photos, sellers who refuse live video, payment methods with no recovery path, underage puppies, fake registration claims, or listings that appear copied from another breeder or platform.

Animal welfare rules

The platform prohibits puppy mill activity, underage puppy placement, illegal sales, animal abuse, misleading health claims, stolen images, harassment, spam, and attempts to bypass paid listing rules through wall posts or comments.

Verification

Verified badges may indicate identity verification or profile review, but they are not a guarantee of animal health, contract quality, registration validity, temperament, transport safety, or a private transaction. Buyers and breeders still need to verify everything themselves.

Reporting and moderation

Every major content type can be reported. Admins can remove listings, hide posts, suspend users, review messages when reported, open safety cases, retain records for scam investigation, and cooperate with lawful requests when needed.

Before sending money

Use a written agreement, confirm the person and animal are real, understand refund terms, verify laws in both locations, confirm transport rules, and consider speaking with a veterinarian or attorney for high-value or state-specific questions.
