Pedigree Designer
What is the pedigree designer?
The pedigree designer is a paid design tool that lets a logged-in user create a custom pedigree image for one dog using registry data, uploaded photos, custom fonts, headers, backgrounds, kennel details, social links, and contact information.
How much does a pedigree design cost?
A pedigree design costs $24.99 per dog. You can preview the design before paying, then unlock a clean export after checkout.
Can I preview the design before paying?
Yes. The live preview is available while you build, but it includes a watermark until the design is paid and unlocked.
Do I get unlimited edits?
Yes. After purchase, you can keep editing that same dog design without paying again. Creating a design for a different dog is a new $24.99 purchase.
Can the designer import registered dogs from the site?
Yes. When a dog or ancestor is registered in the Pups & Studs pedigree database, the designer can use that dog information and available image data to help fill the layout faster.
What if an ancestor is not registered on the site?
You can manually type the dog name and upload your own image for any ancestor that is not already in the database.
Can I upload my own dog photos?
Yes. You can upload your own header image, dog photo, ancestor images, and other supported images used in the final design.
Can I choose fonts and backgrounds?
Yes. The designer includes premade templates, background styles, gradients, image-style headers, and font choices for the dog name and pedigree labels.
Can I include kennel name, social media, or contact details?
Yes. You can add kennel name options, Instagram or Facebook handles with icons, and optional contact information when you want those details shown on the final graphic.
What file do I receive after purchase?
The unlocked design is intended for a clean image export that can be saved, shared, printed, or posted online without the preview watermark.
Does buying a pedigree design register my dog?
No. Registering a dog in the pedigree database is a separate free account feature. The pedigree designer is a custom graphic product.
Can admins use the pedigree designer for free?
Yes. Admin accounts can use the pedigree designer without checkout for platform setup, support, and sample content.

Event Ticketing
What is the event ticketing system?
Event ticketing lets dog show promoters optionally sell admission tickets, booth spots, and class pre-registration from a dog show listing. It is not required for every show.
How much does Pups & Studs charge for tickets?
Pups & Studs adds a $2.99 service fee per ticket. Class pre-registration uses a platform fee percentage shown during setup, currently designed around a 10% fee.
Do promoters need to paste a Stripe account ID?
No. Promoters can use the Stripe Connect onboarding button. Stripe returns and stores the connected account automatically after onboarding.
Why does event ticketing use Stripe Connect?
Stripe Connect lets payments run as direct charges on the promoter connected account. This keeps promoter payouts, refunds, disputes, and Stripe account responsibilities tied to the promoter account.
Can a promoter refund ticket payments?
Yes. Paid event orders can be refunded from the promoter dashboard. Refunds are issued from the connected promoter Stripe account, not from the platform balance.
What is a rolling QR ticket?
A rolling QR ticket refreshes its scannable payload over time so screenshots are harder to reuse. The buyer can show the ticket on their phone at the door.
Can tickets be scanned only once?
Yes. Promoters can use one-scan admission so a ticket cannot be reused for entry after the first successful check-in. Re-entry can be handled with bands, stamps, scanner policy, or promoter rules.
Can staff scan tickets for the promoter?
Yes. Promoters can add staff to an event so more than one person can use the scanner page for door check-in.
Can promoters sell vendor booths?
Yes. Booth options can include label, size, price, quantity, what is included, and sold counts.
Can promoters pre-sell class spots?
Yes. Promoters can create class types with price, judge, division, start time, capacity, and exportable registration lists.
Can class registrations be exported?
Yes. The event dashboard includes exports for class registration data and sign-in style paperwork.
Can event rules be shown to buyers?
Yes. Promoters can add rules, refund policy, buyer notes, judges, sanctioning details, and show type information in the event setup.
Can a dog show listing exist without ticketing?
Yes. Ticketing, booth sales, and class pre-registration are optional add-ons for dog show promoters who want checkout and scanning tools.
Does Pups & Studs run the dog show?
No. Pups & Studs provides listing, checkout, ticketing, and scanning tools. The promoter remains responsible for the event, venue, rules, refunds, staff, exhibitors, and attendee communication.

Yes. The care log, whelping checklist, show packing checklist, questions to ask a breeder, community polls, photo contests, and milestone timeline are free account features unless a page clearly states otherwise.
Do vaccine and deworming logs replace veterinary records?

How do photo contest trophies work?
Admins can close a contest and award the winning registered dog a virtual trophy. Trophies show on the dog profile and owner profile.
Can I use AI-generated litter names?
The litter name generator is a creative helper. You are responsible for choosing names that fit your kennel, registry rules, and advertising standards.
